Por debajo del Sombrero, Mariangela Pizzuto, cía. Danza Luna, Aiala Urzelai, etc.) with whom we collaborate and exchange ideas.
As an association, we have always believed in the possibility of personal, social and cultural transformation provided by art; we believe that theater and dance provide us with a way into emotional, logical and mental areas that are probably more difficult to reach with other disciplines.
We have worked in the field of art and education cooperating with Médicos sin Fronteras (Spain), Centro Esercitazione ai metodi dell’Educazione Attiva (Italy), CNR (Italy), Payasos sin Fronteras, Universidad Complutense (Madrid), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Nacional (Bogotá), UAM (Mexico City), Instituto Helénico (Mexico), Instituto Hemisférico de Performance y Política, Asociación Argadini y Escuela Pública de Animación y Educación en el Tiempo Libre (Madrid).
In 2009 we created a new space: Centro de Artesanía de las Artes Escénicas, a place where actors and dancers can build step by step their wisdom, where activities promoting critical thinking and artistic education are developed towards cultural development.

Project environment:
Most of the activities of the association are developed in the city of Madrid within the Craft Centre for the Performing Arts, a space located in the “Triball” zone in Madrid, exactly in the center of the city. This is a permanent formation center where, beside the regular activity of the company RESIDUI TEATRO, develop activities that covers various disciplines of the performing arts, realization of monographs workshops led by international artists, realization of playful events open to members (presentation of storytelling), small concerts format (within the “Mundo Sonoro” initiative with Madera de cayuco asociacion), exhibitions of plastic art, meeting artists, spaces for reflection in which art is used as a tool to promote emotional and attitudinal growth of each person.
Activities will take place in the CENTRO DE ARTESANÍA DE LAS ARTES ESCÉNICAS (CAAE), multiethnic island in the heart of the city, in Calle Ercilla 48, aplace dedicated to the art-education as a way to promote the personal, social and political transformation. In the center we developed theater and dance activities open to groups of young people with and without functional diversity, children’s activities are performed (workshops and storytelling), develop partnerships with others associations and artists (conference against racism, etc.).
Besides this, the association works with many international associations and participate in exchange projects with countries in Europe and not only, so volunteers will be asked (if the activity is of is interest and can represent an objectively valuable learning experience) of be willing to follow the activities in other Spanish and European cities if the association is collaborating in activities that this can be provide (European exchanges made with the Youth in Action program, participation in international meeting, activities present in theater and dance festivals, etc.) . The volunteer have not to represent the association
The association performs and performed activities in vulnerable contexts at an economic and social level (gypsy slums, rural villages, hospitals).
The association is ready to open its doors to young people in any kind of geographical, social, educational, cultural and economical difficulties, and want to offer opportunity to young people who have disabilities or health problems, for us the focus is on the person and just those who have a fewer possibilities are the persons that must have access to an opportunity like EVS.

We’ll study the volunteer’s curriculum vitae and motivation letter. Volunteers, who are interested in performing arts or management of cultural companies, will be preferred although we are open to young people who are willing to collaborate, learn and discover the areas that this association devotes, and contribute with their knowledge and experience.
We will study the profile of the sending organizations to have more collaboration assurance given to the initiation process
Preference will be given to associations which work in the field of production, organization or promotion of artistic activities and education art, or associations that want to start in this path and would like that their associates/volunteers acquire in our center methods and tools to carry such activities. We are also interested in collaborating with associations that are working with tools or engage in distinctive matters other than those representing a hub for Residui Teatro especially because the association often speaks of various themes that moves a certain restlessness in society (the environment, the economic crisis, disarmament, etc.) through art. Associations are welcome all who want to put into action a new way of collaboration and also very welcome the mainstreaming competencies.
Moreover, it will be important that associations which send volunteers are interests in beginning new projects collaborating at a European level and not only.

Number of volunteers hosted:
The association will host maximum three volunteers. We are certain to be able to guarantee the well-being of these three people as well as the quality of the teaching. We know this because we have already hosted from 3 to 6 people, between volunteers and people doing internships, at the same time. We would rather extend the invitation to a maximum of three to be able to ensure as much posibilities as we can.
